TIP 50: Ride The Wave!

Embrace the temporary nature of emotions by visualizing them as a wave you can surf. Understand that intense feelings, much like a wave, will eventually peak and then subside. When emotions run high, take a moment to picture yourself riding this "emotional wave," and remember that it will eventually diminish over time.

🏈 Eagles

Following the Philadelphia Eagles' loss in Week 15, quarterback Jalen Hurts addressed his post-game comments that had raised some eyebrows. After the team's 20-17 defeat to the Seahawks, marking their third consecutive loss, Hurts had questioned the team's commitment.

Clarifying his remarks on Thursday, Hurts indicated that his initial statement was primarily a reflection on his own performance rather than a critique of his teammates. The 25-year-old quarterback explained that he intended his comments to be a self-motivational tool, aiming to inspire both himself and his teammates to perform better.

🏒 Flyers

Philip Tomasino led the Nashville Predators with two goals in their 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. For the Flyers, Morgan Frost and Sean Couturier scored, but the team's nine-game point streak, during which they went 7-0-2, was ended by the loss. Flyers' goalie Samuel Ersson made 28 saves in the game.

🏀 Sixers

Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers' star and reigning MVP, is on track to lead the NBA in scoring for the third consecutive season. Despite this impressive feat, some critics argue that Embiid benefits excessively from free throws. However, former NBA player JJ Redick, who played alongside Embiid for two seasons in Philadelphia, has challenged this narrative. Redick, who appeared in nearly 150 games for the Sixers, has firsthand experience of Embiid's exceptional talent. Since retiring, Redick has established himself in the broadcasting and podcasting arena, leveraging his insider perspective on the game and players like Embiid.
